Squawking complaints and mocking messages bless

I find myself in California's Central Valley surrounded by noisy flocks of Northern Mockingbirds and Blue Jays.

Jay squawks fill in background gaps and begin to distract during dawn and dusk, then rapidfire mocking draws my rapt attention through the night. Wondrous cascading streams of absurdly juxtaposing mock-ups evoke clans of critters and arrays of contraptions all chaotically spiral-dancing, coupling, tripling and re-creating surreally.

Later as I wander through daylights, I notice feathers have fallen along my path.

I found the Northern Mockingbird and Blue Jay images on Wikimedia Commons.
